Whatever you believe about people and the world, you will likely find proof to defend it.
If you look for selfishness, you’ll find it. If you look for injustice, you’ll find it. If you look for animosity you’ll find it. Conversely, if you look for kindness, you’ll find it. If you look for goodness, you’ll find it. If you look for love, you’ll find it.
Everything in life has a both a negative and positive aspect. Where you focus your attention depends on what you’re invested in–making the real question: why are you invested in it? Whether you focus on the positive or the negative, what do you get out it?
If the answer is “nothing” you have a compelling reason to change what you look for today.
